Since After Adoption was founded in Manchester in 1990 we have answered over 40,000 requests for help. We place children, who are currently in the care system, in stable families and we work with adopted children and adults, adoptive families and birth relatives.
Age Concern Calderdale exists to promote the well-being of all older people in Calderdale recognising their right to independence, fulfilment, dignity and choice, working with them to help make later life a fulfilling and enjoyable experience.
Raising valuable funds for Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital Charity, Wonderful Foundation Director, Kieron James will be running the Himalayan 100 Mile Stage Race in October 2008.

London's Air Ambulance was established to find a way to respond quickly in London's increasingly congested roads. It primarily deals with major trauma, a complicated, and thankfully rare, condition. The victims' injuries are severe. They may involve damage to the brain or spine and a patient's condition can change very rapidly, therefore speed is of the essence.
The beauty of StreetSmart is its simplicity. It is an innovative fundraising scheme which works during the holiday months when people begin to think about those less fortunate than themselves.

At participating restaurants an optional £1 is added to the table bill at the end of a meal. The restaurant passes the money raised to StreetSmart which uses the funds to support reputable local charities.
Age Concern Northamptonshire is an autonomously run local charity dedicated to the well-being of all older people throughout the County and helping them to remain independent in their own homes. We are entirely self-funding and we rely heavily on donations, legacies and grants to enable us to provide the services we offer throughout the County.
Providing care and a home for life to over 290 rescued animals, Tower Hill Stables is quite different from other sanctuaries since it is operated by vegan runner, Linda Oakes' home - as a labour of love. Not including vets bills or maintenance, it costs over £4000 per month to run the Sanctuary which is funded by Linda, her relatives, friends and a loyal membership of 140 who sponsor animals.
Vision Aid is a national organisation offering practical help and advice to the families of children with sight difficulties. Started by parents, we offer friendship and support to families who may be feeling confused or isolated, caring for a child with special needs.

Any child in the UK who has difficulty with their sight, is partially sighted or has no sight at all, can benefit from Vision Aid's service. Children with special needs are also welcome. Professionals working alongside children with visual impairment may also make use of our service and facilities.
