Dr Brian C. Loughman
A collection in memory of Dr Brian Loughman in relation to his Funeral on 21.11.2019

Sarah Loughman
For over 32 years we have been providing a specialised babysitting service for families with a severely disabled child living in the Oxford, Abingdon and Wantage areas of Oxfordshire. Care is provided in a family's home by a small core of experienced staff and a team of trained volunteers.
We will sit, when a family wants 2-3 times a month, for up to about 4 hours. One of our families described us as providing "... person-centred care to suit family and child; it's not just protocols and processes"
We sit for all sorts of reasons, from shopping or a night out, to dental appointments, or spending quality time with siblings. As our founder Sue Kenrick said "The aim was never to change the world, but to make that one week, perhaps that one day, a little bit easier for that one family"
Thank you for supporting us, despite keeping our costs to an absolute minimum, we still need to raise over £50,000 a year to keep our service going. Every penny really does make a difference to our families.

The Co-operative Bank are proud to be the main sponsorship partner of the Wonderful Organisation supporting charities to make a difference by ensuring 100% of donations go directly to doing good. Learn more about the Bank’s values and ethics.
We recognise the selfless commitment made by fundraisers who train for months to run marathons, face their fears by jumping out of aeroplanes or open their homes to the community for charity bakes and coffee mornings. We believe the charities they support should receive EVERY PENNY from their fundraising efforts.
We also believe that Gift Aid (a scheme enabling charities to reclaim tax on donations made by UK taxpayers) should be directed IN FULL to the charities. This is why the Wonderful Organisation does not generate profit (or even cover costs) by deducting money from fundraisers' sponsors or Gift Aid contributions.
We are a non-profit organisation funded entirely by like-minded, philanthropic businesses. That's what makes us wonderful!
