Many thanks you lovely bunch xxx
Glasgow Night Shelter for Destitute Asylum Seekers was set up in 2011 to provide emergency accommodation support for destitute asylum seekers in Glasgow. It is a registered Scottish charity (SC047169).
Our main objective is to provide emergency overnight accommodation for destitute asylum seekers, non-EU migrants and other people with no recourse to public funds (NRPF) who are blocked from accessing statutory homeless services due to their immigration status.
Find out more about our ongoing work and current situation in this report by The Guardian:
The shelter operates from 8:00pm to 9:30am, 365 nights a year, providing a hot evening meal and breakfast, a safe and warm place to sleep, and practical advice and information to empower our guests to move forward with their lives.
Located close to Glasgow city centre and run by a small staff team and many incredible volunteers, the night shelter offers an essential lifeline for one of the most marginalised, disempowered and vulnerable groups of people in society.
Our guests are at the sharp end of the government’s hostile environment; a set of dehumanising policies designed to force people into destitution, leaving them with no access to social security benefits, no right to work to support themselves and no entitlement even to make use of statutory homelessness services.
Thank you for supporting Glasgow Night Shelter for Destitute Asylum Seekers.

The Co-operative Bank are proud to be the main sponsorship partner of the Wonderful Organisation supporting charities to make a difference by ensuring 100% of donations go directly to doing good. Learn more about the Bank’s values and ethics.
We recognise the selfless commitment made by fundraisers who train for months to run marathons, face their fears by jumping out of aeroplanes or open their homes to the community for charity bakes and coffee mornings. We believe the charities they support should receive EVERY PENNY from their fundraising efforts.
We also believe that Gift Aid (a scheme enabling charities to reclaim tax on donations made by UK taxpayers) should be directed IN FULL to the charities. This is why the Wonderful Organisation does not generate profit (or even cover costs) by deducting money from fundraisers' sponsors or Gift Aid contributions.
We are a non-profit organisation funded entirely by like-minded, philanthropic businesses. That's what makes us wonderful!
