Jump for joy!
I've been working at the YM now for over 4 years. And despite the fact I didn't grow up here with fond memories of the place when it was delivering its full potential, I can absolutely say it's got to me, and in a really good way!The Centre offers so much to our wee community, safe and comfortable spaces for all sorts of groups and activities, and at an affordable price. One thing which we are painfully aware of, is that we are not accessible for all. We desperately need to focus on installing a disabled toilet, which would then give so much more to many of our users. We currently have a live bid with Tesco Bags of Help (ending end of June) which is helping to raise funds, however it won't meet all the costs. And so... Like the eejit that I am, I've decided to do a Bungee Swing (whatever that is?!?) at Killiekrankie to help raise some more funds.Am I scared? I'll let you decide that. The bigger your donation, the more terrified you KNOW I am! 😂Thanks to the tireless work of our Board and Youth Team, the Centre is improving all the time, however as we receive no government funding, we really need your help. The Community Cinema and the Soft Play Cafe will be opening later this year, wouldn't it be wonderful to really, truly, be accessible to all?
