Challenge to get myself fit and raise money for an amazing charity
If U Care Share Foundation works to prevent suicide, support those who have lost loved ones and provide training to improve emotional and mental health.
The North East has the highest rate of suicide in the country and suicide continues to be the biggest killer of men under 50 and young people. We want to change that!
We offer a range of services to help people who have been affected by suicide, as well as working with young people in schools to promote positive emotional and mental health.
We can only continue to do our vital work with the support of people who go that extra mile to fundraise for us. Every penny really does count!
If you'd like to run, swim, bake (or do anything else to raise some money), click the button below to get started. It's quick and easy to register and by doing so here at Wonderful.org, you can be sure that every penny raised will reach If U Care Share Foundation.
Challenge to get myself fit and raise money for an amazing charity
In 2017 my whole worked was rocked with the news that my sons father/my ex husband of 11 years who had and still was serving in the British armed forces had committed suicide at the young age of only 38 (already this year alone 17 soldiers have taken there own lives due to ptsd) this absolutely devastated His family including myself and my son, after this I suffers from severe depression and anxiety and felt as if my whole world had just stopped and I didn’t know how I was going to manage to be both a mum and a dad to our son, but then I searched online for some help and that is where I came across the charity If you care share foundation who have Been my absolute saviour through this and I really don’t know what I would of done with out there help and support, even just being able to have some one there who I could talk to about how I was feeling as what I have realised is that grief has so many different stages that it can get so confusing and you can have so many different emotions and feelings going on at the same time, but knowing that there is some form of support out there who will not judge or question ( as suicide is and always has been a taboo subject) any of the feelings or emotions of anger, helplessness the not knowing and worst of all the unanswered questions which none of us will ever get.so all I ask is if you can help towards this brilliant and worthy cause and help so many other people Who need this support at this most Heartbreaking breaking time please donate as little or as much as you can to help keep this charity doing its amazing work x
On Thursday 25th July I’m running 5k for If U Care Share.I’m hoping to raise awareness of suicide and the fantastic work the charity does. For most people a 5k run would be a doddle but for me it’s going to be a challenge.I’m unfit, asthmatic and can’t currently run to save my life.Any amount you can donate will be greatly appreciate and will help make a difference.Thank you xx
In a way to challenge myself this year, I have been selected to take part in the Great North Run in September. I have decided to run for If U Care Share, a charity set up in my home village that is dedicated to the prevention and intervention of suicide, and to the support of those affected by it.
If U Care Share unite two of my favourite things: football and the north east by delivering mental health workshops in both schools and football academies. I have worked with If U Care Share before and I am so proud to be representing them and raising money too.
Any donations would be appreciated!
In June of 2017 I lost my brother to suicide, there are no words to describe the impact this has upon the people left behind.I'm hoping by doing this tandem skydive i'll be able to raise as much money as possible, so this wonderful charity can continue their work raising awareness and showing that there is always another way. Help is out there, please ask.
Just for the record I'm petrified of heights !!!
i have decided to do the Great North Run for the 5th time for such a great charity supporting those affected by suicide and suicide prevention. mental health in this country affects so many people especially young men . we in south shields know this fact unfortunately probably a little more than we would like to. so please give what you can it all goes to a great charity helping across the whole of the North east including our little town.
Ali, Beth and me are doing the Great North Run to raise funds to help support If U Care Share. Once again I come cap in hand to ask you to please support this wonderful organisation. We all know of people affected by suicide and the numbers are frightening. Every donation will go a long way to helping people with mental health problems and those bereaved through suicide.
We thank you from the bottom of our hearts
I am doing the GNR for If You Care Share Foundation , this is a suicide prevention charity which also offers bereavement support . Please donate what you can
Michael, Ben and Rachel Priestley are running the Great North Run 2019 to fundraise for the fantastic If U Care Share Foundation; a North-East Charity that supports those affected by suicide. Losing someone to Suicide is something that sadly unfortunately I can relate to and something that is happening more and more. This year I am setting myself the biggest challenge I have ever set myself in order to help raise money for the If You Care Share foundation.....to complete the Great North Run. I know that I will not be the fittest and I know I certainly won’t be the fastest but what I do know is that I will give it my all and when I cross that finish line I can hold my head high and say “I did it” So please if you can support me and sponsor even the smallest amount and help me make a difference it would be extremely appreciated. ❤️
I am running this year for the if u care share foundation as you all know i lost my partner to suicide in 2017 this charity is so close to my heart

The Co-operative Bank are proud to be the main sponsorship partner of the Wonderful Organisation supporting charities to make a difference by ensuring 100% of donations go directly to doing good. Learn more about the Bank’s values and ethics.
We recognise the selfless commitment made by fundraisers who train for months to run marathons, face their fears by jumping out of aeroplanes or open their homes to the community for charity bakes and coffee mornings. We believe the charities they support should receive EVERY PENNY from their fundraising efforts.
We also believe that Gift Aid (a scheme enabling charities to reclaim tax on donations made by UK taxpayers) should be directed IN FULL to the charities. This is why the Wonderful Organisation does not generate profit (or even cover costs) by deducting money from fundraisers' sponsors or Gift Aid contributions.
We are a non-profit organisation funded entirely by like-minded, philanthropic businesses. That's what makes us wonderful!
