The Manor Church and Community Project seeks to create and to support community in the Manor area of Sheffield. It was conceived in 2013 and set up by the Anglican, Methodist and United Reformed Churches working in partnership with a number of other agencies and groups from across this deprived area of the city as a demonstration of the Christian gospel. In 2015 the Project gained charitable status as a CIO (Charitable Incorporated Organisation).
The Manor Church and Community Project (MCCP) has 4 key aims. Working closely with community services and local families it seeks:
a) To establish play facilities and activity centres at the heart of the Manor community, creating a welcoming and flexible environment in which to engage in new ways with the community, particularly with young families and the elderly.
b) To create a sustainable hub of local community activity that addresses community need, including social isolation and social deprivation.
c) To challenge inequality and injustice, through a community development approach and working in partnership with organisations and individuals.
d) To provide the opportunity for people to explore their Christian faith and ask questions in a place which is safe and non-judgemental.

The Co-operative Bank are proud to be the main sponsorship partner of the Wonderful Organisation supporting charities to make a difference by ensuring 100% of donations go directly to doing good. Learn more about the Bank’s values and ethics.
We recognise the selfless commitment made by fundraisers who train for months to run marathons, face their fears by jumping out of aeroplanes or open their homes to the community for charity bakes and coffee mornings. We believe the charities they support should receive EVERY PENNY from their fundraising efforts.
We also believe that Gift Aid (a scheme enabling charities to reclaim tax on donations made by UK taxpayers) should be directed IN FULL to the charities. This is why the Wonderful Organisation does not generate profit (or even cover costs) by deducting money from fundraisers' sponsors or Gift Aid contributions.
We are a non-profit organisation funded entirely by like-minded, philanthropic businesses. That's what makes us wonderful!
