The Musical Museum was founded over 50 years ago, and tells the changing story of how people have captured and listened to music over the last four centuries. From tiny music boxes to the Mighty Wurlitzer theatre organ in our concert hall, the collection includes an impressive array of instruments and inventions, including reproducing pianos, orchestrions, self-playing violins, pipe organs, gramophones & synthesizers. We are a charity dedicated to conserving and preserving this nationally important collection and to ensuring that the instruments are displayed for the public to experience.
Donations and Bequests
As an independent museum; we receive no government funding, and are not underwritten financially. We rely on public donations, visitor admission fees and commercial activities to raise revenue to preserve our collections for the benefit of future generations. We are eternally grateful to all of our visitors and benefactors, who contribute towards keeping us alive. All proceeds are directly reinvested into the care of the collection and making our museum a better place for you and your family to visit. This web site (wonderful.org) is also a registered charity and will forward 100% of anything you donate on to us.
Please use this page to make a direct donation, or contact the Museum to discuss leaving a lasting legacy - we deeply appreciate your generosity and support.

The Co-operative Bank are proud to be the main sponsorship partner of the Wonderful Organisation supporting charities to make a difference by ensuring 100% of donations go directly to doing good. Learn more about the Bank’s values and ethics.
We recognise the selfless commitment made by fundraisers who train for months to run marathons, face their fears by jumping out of aeroplanes or open their homes to the community for charity bakes and coffee mornings. We believe the charities they support should receive EVERY PENNY from their fundraising efforts.
We also believe that Gift Aid (a scheme enabling charities to reclaim tax on donations made by UK taxpayers) should be directed IN FULL to the charities. This is why the Wonderful Organisation does not generate profit (or even cover costs) by deducting money from fundraisers' sponsors or Gift Aid contributions.
We are a non-profit organisation funded entirely by like-minded, philanthropic businesses. That's what makes us wonderful!
