SALTO Is celebrating 25 years as a Charity in 2020.
To mark this momentus achievement we will hold a series of events in 2020 to celebrate all that is great about SALTO and to raise the funds necessary to maintain the excellent facilities and deliver our classes and activities through our amaising team of coaches, supported by our fabulous administration team and our volunteers,
What better way to kick start this celebration year by being able to announce that we have secured a pledge from the Garfield Weston Foundation of £10,000 towards our investmenty plans. This pledge is contingent on raising a further £10,000 through our own fundraising efforts, This is where you come in! We have also made a great start to this target by obtaining a pledge of £1000 in sponsorship from a local business.
So the target campaign is £20,000 for 2020!
Salto Gymnastics Club, a UK registered charity, is open to members and non-members 7 days a week. It operated from the SALTO Centre a state-of-the-art facility in Luton.
We pride ourselves on our sense of community spirit and teamwork. We encourage all children and young people to aspire to be the best they can be in the world of gymnastics and our trained and dedicated coaches support them to achieve their dreams.
Our Vision is To Aspire; To inspire; To Deliver and To Succeed:
To improve the health, wellbeing and future prospects of our members, staff and the wider community by becoming one of the leaders in providing and promoting gymnastics in Bedfordshire and the East Region.
The Charity objects include:
To advance education for the benefit of, in particular but not exclusively, the children and young people of Luton and surrounding rural towns and villages, through the provision of facilities, coaching in gymnastics sports and through the support of gymnastics coaching courses and leadership skills.
The relief of our members with physical or learning disabilities by the provision of gymnastics activities and facilities.
Ensuring that due care and attention is given to the physiological and mental wellbeing needs of our members, with a view to furthering these objects and any other charitable purpose.
Our Values are:
To strive for and achieve excellence in everything we do.
To promote health and wellbeing among young people and families.
To foster a sense of community and team spirit with other members of the club through an awareness of their common interest in working toward individual and team goals as well as a sense of sportsmanship and respect for other competitors.
To provide a safe, fun and welcoming learning environment.
To provide professional and nurturing coaches.

The Co-operative Bank are proud to be the main sponsorship partner of the Wonderful Organisation supporting charities to make a difference by ensuring 100% of donations go directly to doing good. Learn more about the Bank’s values and ethics.
We recognise the selfless commitment made by fundraisers who train for months to run marathons, face their fears by jumping out of aeroplanes or open their homes to the community for charity bakes and coffee mornings. We believe the charities they support should receive EVERY PENNY from their fundraising efforts.
We also believe that Gift Aid (a scheme enabling charities to reclaim tax on donations made by UK taxpayers) should be directed IN FULL to the charities. This is why the Wonderful Organisation does not generate profit (or even cover costs) by deducting money from fundraisers' sponsors or Gift Aid contributions.
We are a non-profit organisation funded entirely by like-minded, philanthropic businesses. That's what makes us wonderful!
