Making Every Kilometre Count
How many times have you switched on the news and been saddened by a report of a young person committing an act of violence? I know I have but, up until now, I certainly didn't ask how that violence could have been prevented. That's where the Violence Intervention Project comes in.
This amazing charity works with young people who have often experienced a significant trauma, such as domestic violence, to prevent it leading them down a path to damaging behaviour such as gang culture and violent crime.
I've committed to run a half marathon to raise funds for the charity's vital work. I'm their first supporter to fundraise via a challenge event so any donation you could make, even a couple of pounds, would mean a lot - especially to the young people who they support.
