Third Angel makes exciting and original contemporary performance that speaks directly, honestly and engagingly to its audience. We believe that theatre is part of the conversation that helps people to understand their place in the world. For the last fourteen years, we have been nurturing the next generation of theatre makers through mentoring, internships and our participation programme which aims to build confidence and raise aspirations in young people aged 14-19. We seek to reduce barriers to careers in the arts by ensuring that artists are paid for development time, interns are paid at Living Wage Foundation rates, and young people experiencing economic disadvantage can access our programme for free. We actively seek to engage with artists, companies and young people who are from backgrounds that are currently underrepresented in the arts in all areas of our work.
Established in Sheffield in 1995, Third Angel is a registered charity, an Associate Company of Sheffield Theatres and an Arts Council England National Portfolio Organisation.

The Co-operative Bank are proud to be the main sponsorship partner of the Wonderful Organisation supporting charities to make a difference by ensuring 100% of donations go directly to doing good. Learn more about the Bank’s values and ethics.
We recognise the selfless commitment made by fundraisers who train for months to run marathons, face their fears by jumping out of aeroplanes or open their homes to the community for charity bakes and coffee mornings. We believe the charities they support should receive EVERY PENNY from their fundraising efforts.
We also believe that Gift Aid (a scheme enabling charities to reclaim tax on donations made by UK taxpayers) should be directed IN FULL to the charities. This is why the Wonderful Organisation does not generate profit (or even cover costs) by deducting money from fundraisers' sponsors or Gift Aid contributions.
We are a non-profit organisation funded entirely by like-minded, philanthropic businesses. That's what makes us wonderful!
