In July 2019 I plan to do a Skydive in Garvagh ,Co Antrim to help raise awareness and funds to help Vineyard Compassion. All will be welcome to come watch this event.Vineyard Compassion is a Christian charity based in Coleraine, Northern Ireland. Its vision is to, “change the community, one life at a time”. The charity aims to provide practical support for the poor, whilst empowering them to tackle the root causes of poverty. It has launched a range of initiatives to maximise the potential for lasting community transformation. Vineyard Compassion has been privileged to see dignity and hope restored to thousands of people trapped in cycles of poverty.
This work has been recognised nationally; in 2018 we were awarded the Queen’s award for voluntary service, the MBE for the charity sector.
The most vulnerable people in society are faced with a complex set of barriers such as long-term unemployment, family breakdown, homelessness, problem debt, mental health issues, ex-offending, low educational achievement and poor self-esteem. For many these barriers are too big to overcome without support. This can lead to periods of destitution, with people going without the bare essentials.
Vineyard Compassion provides the support people need to get their lives back on track and make changes for a better life.
