Team O'er the Crags and the Corries’s story

On the 22nd June Davide, Perdy and I will be completing a 50 mile (route) duathlon from Kintail to Beauly across Scotland. Starting with a 20 mile hill run through Glen Affric and ending with a 30 mile cycle to Beauly!

The Highland Cross ( is run by volunteers and supports a string of charities across Scotland that change people's lives:

Birchwood Highland - mental health recovery;

Cantraybridge College - further education for young adults with additional support needs;

New Start Highland - tackling homelessness and long-term unemployment;

Puffin Hydrotherapy Pool - crucial assessment and treatment for people with disabilities and injuries;

Special Needs Action Project (SNAP) - leisure and recreation opportunities for young people with special needs.

If you can, please give a couple of pounds to these wonderful charities as it can make a huge difference to the wonderful things they do every day.

All funds raised will be passed to the charity irrespective of whether my target is reached, not reached or exceeded.

What makes us wonderful?

We recognise the selfless commitment made by fundraisers who train for months to run marathons, face their fears by jumping out of aeroplanes or open their homes to the community for charity bakes and coffee mornings. We believe the charities they support should receive EVERY PENNY from their fundraising efforts.

We also believe that Gift Aid (a scheme enabling charities to reclaim tax on donations made by UK taxpayers) should be directed IN FULL to the charities. This is why the Wonderful Organisation does not generate profit (or even cover costs) by deducting money from fundraisers' sponsors or Gift Aid contributions.

We are a non-profit organisation funded entirely by like-minded, philanthropic businesses. That's what makes us wonderful!
