As part of the Year of Green Action, Environmental Quality are doing a 23 mile sponsored walk along the Thames path, from Hampton Court to Albert Bridge, on the 6th September. This will be in support of two environmental charities working to help protect our natural environment:
The Rivers Trust are the umbrella body of the Rivers Trust movement, working to protect, promote and enhance our freshwater ecosystems for both people and wildlife. With the support of over 60 member Trusts across the UK and Ireland, they work on the ground, in the heart of the community, to promote a sustainable future for our river environments.
Thames21 is the voice for London’s waterways, working with communities to improve rivers and canals for people and wildlife. They mobilise thousands of volunteers every year to clean and green the capital’s 400 mile network of waterways. Thames21 aims to transform neglected waterways into areas that everyone can use and enjoy, by using innovative and tailored community approaches.
Please split your donations evenly between this page and our fundraising page for Thames21!
