On October 6th I'll be putting on my trainers and walking the Maidenhead Boundary Walk to raise funds for Maidenhead Heritage Centre, where I work. It is a great little museum in the middle of Maidenhead, largely run by a team of volunteers. And like most such museums, it depends on donations and fund-raising activities for much of its income. Last year the chairman Richard Poad raised over £1600, but this year the sneaky man is going to be on holiday in Yorkshire - and has persuaded me to do it instead. He has promised the weather will be dry - oh yes? - and that he will walk the same distance while he is away, though not necessarily all on the same day. So please be as generous as you can in your sponsorship for me. It is a really good cause, and by using this website there will be absolutely no deductions. ALL your sponsorship will go to the Heritage Centre. Many many thanks.
