The Lowry is a cross-arts organisation and registered charity in Salford (no. 1053962). We welcome visitors to our three theatres, gallery spaces and we are also home to the UK's public collection of work by LS Lowry. Central to our vision is our commitment to our local communities in Salford, with particular focus on disadvantaged or marginalised young people and each year The Lowry engages with over 35,000 people from our communities through ground-breaking participation, learning and vocational training programmes which harnesses the arts to discover talents, improve skills, and boost confidence. Through our Learning and Engagement programme we aim to:

• Change the lives of children and young people who are vulnerable or 'at-risk' e.g. Young Carers, Children in Care, Young Parents and those experiencing homeslessness, by raising their self-esteem and creative skills development
• Provide real routes into training or employment for those who are, or at risk of becoming NEET (not in education, employment or training)
• To discover, support and develop emerging artists and theatre-makers
• To continue to bring the very best in world-class visual and performing arts to our regions
• Use the arts as a powerful tool to inspire people to shape their lives and the lives of people around them for the better
