Erin is fundraising

New Forest 10k for The Wessex Heritage Trust

£350.00 + £47.50 Gift Aid = £397.50
Donated to Erin’s £500.00 Goal

Erin’s story

Erin is running the New Forest 10k on 9th September 2018 to raise money for some items desperately needed for our Memory Boxes.

The Memory Box Project regularly visits hospitals, care homes, day centres and carers groups and runs reminiscence sessions. It focuses on Sight, Sound, Touch and Smell to help trigger memories and improve wellbeing for people living with dementia.

The money raised will fund:

24 x new hospital safe and easily transportable RED memory boxes for easy recognition and improvement of our service

A full set of new AromaPrime scent boxes

A new portable record player for playing show tunes, music and natural sounds

An MP3 Player and accompanying set of portable speakers to more easily play music, ideal for games and music quizzes

Hundreds of people will benefit from these items and if anyone can spare a few pennies to help us reach our goal we would be hugely grateful.

To keep up to date with our project, and what we are doing follow us on Facebook

We will have regular updates of training and build up towards the big day- its going to be tough!

Our wonderful partners

Our wonderful partners - who support us with cash and services - make it possible for us to pass EVERY PENNY raised from your fundraising efforts and generous donations to our charities, including Gift Aid. Of course, we would be unable to do so without them.

What makes us wonderful?

We recognise the selfless commitment made by fundraisers who train for months to run marathons, face their fears by jumping out of aeroplanes or open their homes to the community for charity bakes and coffee mornings. We believe the charities they support should receive EVERY PENNY from their fundraising efforts.

We also believe that Gift Aid (a scheme enabling charities to reclaim tax on donations made by UK taxpayers) should be directed IN FULL to the charities. This is why the Wonderful Organisation does not generate profit (or even cover costs) by deducting money from fundraisers' sponsors or Gift Aid contributions.

We are a non-profit organisation funded entirely by like-minded, philanthropic businesses. That's what makes us wonderful!
