I am pleased to say that on 22 June 2019 I was part of a great team who scaled Scafell Pike In the Lake District in order to raise funds to support the people of Burundi through the Rema UK charity.
The weather was perfect for such a venture; cloudy on the ascent so not too warm, and dry throughout so no slippery terrain. The photo depicts the team at the summit.
Thanks to everyone who has donated to date and enabled me to reach my target.
The total now raised by the various teams from Sutton Coldfield Baptist Church who completed either the Scafell Pike walk or the Three Peaks Challenge is now in excess of £3,000.
There is still time to donate if anyone else wishes to do so!
