Steph’s story

Tony Harvey- 30 March 1945  -30 Nov 2019

On Saturday 30th November my uncle Tony sadly passed away.

My cousin Paula put an acknowledgment on the Urmston Facebook page which received 429 likes and 155 comments from people in the community who had worked with him over the years or most recently from people who regularly met and talked to him at the local shops when he was out and about on his scooter.

Many comments said what a lovely, friendly & funny 🤔 man he was, a lovely tribute to a wonderful man.

On Friday 13th we finally say goodbye as he is laid to rest.

My Auntie Pat & Paula asked for family flowers only with donations to go to Reach Out to the Community, my Uncle would often stop & talk to people experiencing homelessness in Urmston & offer help and support to them where he could so homelessness was something close to this heart.

Rest in peace Uncle Tony you are finally reunited with our Wendy your beloved daughter. You both Will always be in our thoughts and remain forever in our hearts.

XXX 💜 Steph.

All funds raised will be passed to the charity irrespective of whether my target is reached, not reached or exceeded.

What makes us wonderful?

We recognise the selfless commitment made by fundraisers who train for months to run marathons, face their fears by jumping out of aeroplanes or open their homes to the community for charity bakes and coffee mornings. We believe the charities they support should receive EVERY PENNY from their fundraising efforts.

We also believe that Gift Aid (a scheme enabling charities to reclaim tax on donations made by UK taxpayers) should be directed IN FULL to the charities. This is why the Wonderful Organisation does not generate profit (or even cover costs) by deducting money from fundraisers' sponsors or Gift Aid contributions.

We are a non-profit organisation funded entirely by like-minded, philanthropic businesses. That's what makes us wonderful!
