Rural Life Living Museum’s story

Help, our building is leaking! We need to repair the guttering in the Frensham building which houses part of our collection and also the archives for Tilford village. As a volunteer-led charity we are asking for urgent donations so please help us to mend our roof and protect some wonderful community assets.

The Rural Life Living Museum is the trading name for The Old Kiln Museum Trust

All funds raised will be passed to the charity irrespective of whether my target is reached, not reached or exceeded.

Rural Life Living Museum

The Rural Life Living Museum is an accredited open-air museum and visitor attraction that collects and exhibits objects associated with farming and goods used by local craftsmen from the past 200 years. Many aspects of village and rural life are presented within ten acres of field, woodland and barns; recalling a way of life once common to the local people.

It is a peaceful setting, friendly to all visitors with particular programs aimed at schools, families and groups. Our events offer the perfect way to experience the museum as volunteers set about bringing the museum alive by engaging visitors in an entertaining learning experience involving crafts, demonstrations and hands-on activities.

Registered Charity Number: 289150.

What makes us wonderful?

We recognise the selfless commitment made by fundraisers who train for months to run marathons, face their fears by jumping out of aeroplanes or open their homes to the community for charity bakes and coffee mornings. We believe the charities they support should receive EVERY PENNY from their fundraising efforts.

We also believe that Gift Aid (a scheme enabling charities to reclaim tax on donations made by UK taxpayers) should be directed IN FULL to the charities. This is why the Wonderful Organisation does not generate profit (or even cover costs) by deducting money from fundraisers' sponsors or Gift Aid contributions.

We are a non-profit organisation funded entirely by like-minded, philanthropic businesses. That's what makes us wonderful!
