Team CLASSS’s story
Some of the volunteers for CLASSS are attempting the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge. We'll be climbing three of the highest peaks in the Yorkshire Dales, a total of 5,249 ft! The challenge is to complete the 26 mile route in under 12 hours! It's going to be tough but hopefully the weather will be on our side!
More information on CLASSS can be found through the link on this page, but just a few words about what we do. Since 2008 CLASSS has provided evening, supplementary education classes, based on small-group tuition, to primary and secondary school age children in need of extra help with their schoolwork. Our provision of educational support dates back to the 1980s through our predecessor CHALCS. We work with young people, from all backgrounds, who have lower than average attainment including Black and Minority Ethnic (BAME) young people from socially and economically disadvantaged areas in Leeds, Chapeltown and Harehills.
