Team Connor & Eoin’s story
Uttlesford District is one of only two districts in Essex that do not have a FA approved quality 3G Artificial Grass Pitch. FA research suggests Saffron Walden alone should have 4.
In order to support the amazing success and growth of both SWCFC and SWPSG, our young players deserve better facilities.
We have secured significant funding from the FA to go ahead with this project and has the full support from SWCHS, where this pitch will be built and approved to FIFA, UEFA and FA standards.
We now need to raise £100,000 from the community in order to qualify for the additional funding. This sporting facility will benefit the town and surrounding areas and also enable the clubs to expand into new areas such as disability football.
Connor (U14 EJA) and Eoin (U12 Blacks) are undertaking the Yorkshire 3 Peaks challenge and hope to raise lots of money for their efforts. The challenge is to climb Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough covering a distance of 24 miles in 12 hours. They have been training hard walking miles around Essex and in Derbyshire they have climbed Kinder Scout (Jacobs Ladder route), Mam Tor among others.
Please support the boys and help us reach the target to get the 3G pitch funded, providing a great facility in the community.
