Team Parker Project’s story
Jacob & Kate have been inspired by a friend who on recieving a diagnosis of terminal cancer decided to help build a school in Zimbabwe.
Five years on we are going to join Team Lechmere as they go back to finish building the last classrooms at the Joshua Dhube School, Mutare in Zimbabwe. This is a fantastic project that is giving children a chance of an education and giving hope to victims of AIDS. We will be working with local people to finish a classroom in two weeks. Whilst Jacob focuses on the building Kate will be helping out in a local health clinic for those suffering from AIDS and other health issues.
It takes just a few £s to make a difference. For example 100 Bricks will cost £11.70, a local plumber will be £8 for a day. One toilet will cost £35 and one builder for the day £3.10. This project helps bring local people work so please help the "Parker Project" build on the schools foundations!.
